HL2 books from Prima Publishing

Maybe you guys have seen this or it's been posted, but GameStop has listing for two Half-Life 2 books. One is called Half-Life 2: Raising the Bar (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=871706). The other is called Half-Life 2 Mod Maker's Guide (http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=871705).

Both books look realy cool, especially Raising the Bar since it's supposed to have a "huge feature on how Valve created the unmatched environments, creatures, characters, Source engine technology, and ground-breaking AI told through a series of interviews, storyboards, and dozens of pages of conceptual art unique to this guide! Also revealed are enemies that didn't make it into the final game..."

I checked our Prima's website and they have it listed for September 2004 as well, but that may be just a "placeholder" date until they get confirmation. Also, Prima does not have the cover art for it yet.

Maybe "Raising the bar" is the same book but by the different author. Someone a bit less biased against Valve perhaps.

I think his beef with valve concerned their inability/denial to admit that hl2 would be delayed. I had a beef with valve too. i bought my 9600 pro solely for hl2. If i knew that hl2 wouldn't not be coming out last summer i would have waited to upgrade my vid card. Now i could buy the 9800 pro for the same price i payed for the 9600 pro last summer.
