After I downloaded the HL2 GCF file from Steam, can I put it to CDs (back-up) bcoz i don't have a DVD ROM..

If yes, how it is going to look like after putting into the CD??

Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, start steam then click "play games" then right click the Half Life 2. Select "Back up game files". Go through those screens and it gives the option of how large to store the files (either CD size or DVD size). It will save it as an .exe file that can be split across volumes (like winzip/winrar does). I think there will be about 4 cd size files when its finished which can then be burnt to a CD.

If you need to re-install then insert the first disk then double click the .exe on the CD and you *should* be sorted! :)

Can anyone please post screenies about the back-up process.
Thanks.
