Hl2 on 1024X768, high detail?

Hi i wanted to ask if u think my system will run HL2 with more than 30 fps with high details and 32 bit ?
My system :
Athlon xp 1800+
Geforce 4 ti-4600 (128mb)
512 ddr-ram
Win 98 se

Upgrade to xp and youll be fine. Maybe upgrade your processor too. Your card is fine.

Why xp, all my games run very good on 98se, is xp faster in games ?

XP is better built for games IMO. You'll be better of as well, seeing as HL2 was presented running on XP.

A new processor wouldn't hurt though.

XP is just a better built program. It's alot more stable, and runs games like a dream.

Im going to say, either get xp, or win 2000. win 2000 is a little bit less optimized, but it also takes less extra memory.

The bottleneck about his system is the CPU, so that's what we tell him.
