I bought HL2 off of amazon a few months ago. Somebody told me the today that amazon does not sell the version with multiplayer or mod support. Does anyone know if this is true? :hmph:

I don't think Amazon even knows the exact product you just bought, all they know is that you bought HL2 at some price. Until they get verification on the different versions that are going to be released (and I suspect they havn't recieved it yet) then what they will send to you when the game is released is whatever version is the same price as what you spent.

That's the thing about pre-ordering... since they're releasing the game in multiple packaged versions, you don't know for sure what you're paying for. As if that weren't confusing enough, different websites have vastly different prices. Personally, I'm not going to pre-order the game unless I know for sure what I'm agreeing to.
