HL2DM Machina?

Back in the days of HL1 DM there was a site dedicated to user made movies of all things HL. The biggest portion of their site was videos of clan matches. Some of the biggest names in gaming had recorded their matches for others to watch and learn from, admire, etc. I learned a great deal in a short time from a few of those videos.

With HL2's greater recording and video capabilities, I was wondering if anyone knew of a similar site, or at least of any downloads along those lines. I don't get to frag much due to the fact I cannot get any broadband in my area. I utilize a local game cafe to play. Since I'm playing for it, any thing I could pick up to improve my game would be of great interest to me.

That's "Machinima" and what you are describing isn't machinima anyway

I don't think you will see anything like this yet. Give it some more time. For example, I doubt those videos of HL Deathmatch started coming out when DM was first out.. (1998)

There are quite a few videos out already, check out www.phenylshouse.com (bi0_gauss's spree avi and hldm reborn avi are very good) and have a search on www.own-age.com .. I've got a video on there about hoverboarding.

Don't capture them while playing, or ever for that matter.

Record demos, then export the footage later and make a movie
