HL2DM Pro 1.7 Dedicated Server Curiousity

Hi, I recently setup a dedicated server for HL2DM Pro 1.7. I was wondering how others have theirs setup so I can benefit from the knowledge and experience to improve mine.
I'm assuming immediately that most of you have the Mani Admin Plugin setup with yours for those quake/UT sound effects? I did have that setup at one point and really want to do so again.
So in that context, what special things do your guys do to your dedicated servers?

I take off all plugins and run it forcing defaults as the minimum and 67cmd/67up/20k rate as the max. Plugins like Mani etc lag the server and can cause extra crashes, so be careful. Also, linux generally has more bugs than windows.
