Well, is HL2 more important to you than the presidential election this year? Be honest...

I tjust think that we are in need of a different poll! That's all...:cheese:

Let's face it, yes. There's nothing I can do about some US election, but there's plenty I can do with HL2. :p

Yikes. Combining american politics with Half-Life 2 on an internet message board?

This is going to end in tears. :(

I know you guys were joking, but this could be construed as a threat against the president, which would get you in serious trouble if the right people read it. Just a little heads up to be careful what you say, even anonymously on the internet.

Half life 2, Im from england so the Election means nothing to me.

I don't care whether people like you take this seriously or not. I'm just offering a friendly heads up. I do work for the federal government, and I know how seriously they take this kind of thing.

Is it good when I say Bush is one of the worst presidents ever? Or do I have to say "war-president" (he calls himself like that).

You can criticize, but you can not talk about doing possible harm to him. This is getting OT so I won't respond to any more messages about this.

Back on topic...I think I would choose HL2 over voting in this year's election. I've only been waiting for four years since my last presidential vote, but I've been waiting longer than that for HL2, so that would be my priority. :)

no, i don't wanna join the usa in this stupid war... is that what you were offering??? :O

I'm from Sweden, so... don't really care about US "politics".

Hl2 of course. The Presidency is just a scam anyway afaik. The lies won't stop just because a new President is elected (who is leading atm?). I like it :E

HL2 doesn't mean squat when compared to the election. One is a video game while the other decides who runs the country for the next four years.

I would sincerely hope no one would be serious in picking HL2 over the election in importance.

Same, but I'm from Icy Sweden.

I R Yuropee'an...

Don't care about any elections.

Half-Life 2, I'm from the USA so the Election means nothing to me. :E Well, apparently, to the majority of people that live here that's true... since we get such low voter turnout.

Anyway, the results of the election last only four years and we've only been waiting four years since the last one. We've been waiting around 6 years for HL2 and I'm expecting the Source engine to last well over four years. So, in terms of the effect on only me I'd have to say HL2... but if I also have to think about other people I'd say the election.

Quoted for so much emphasis, I'm not even kidding around.

You guys honestly have problems if you'd pick the game over the election. Even if you don't live in the States. I live in Canada. This election could change the face of the earth for all we know.

Get a life, guys. Seriously.

HL2! It's not like our votes matter anyway

Well, I live in New Zealand, but I'm still choosing the elections. Bush is an idiot who will, eventually, be responsible for destroying the world if you people let him stay.

On and off topic note, did you know once he was asked in an interview what his favorite childhood book was, and he replied, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." Turns out that book was published one year after he graduated from college.

Just in case you couldn't tell, I was joking. Damn the internet and it's inability to properly convey sarcasm. Of course the election is more important.

What in gods name does the election matter anyway- he rigged the last one, so the election itself doesn't matter - just the number of "recounts"...

And even if we were talking about the UK election coming next year; what does it matter, regardless of who you vote for, you vote for a corrupt b'stard....

Anyone who wants to be in power, by definition is really not the kind of person you want in power.

Mind you - I used to think Tony Blair was satan. But he can't be, not with George "AMiEVILyesIam" Bush around...that man is a seriously retarded, warmongering, hatefilled biggot with a god complex. A sick little S**T.

HL2 gets my vote- that way atleast I'll be happily oblivious of the coming apocalypse

I'm not getting into all this war stuff (I know what happened to this other forum I was in - Got messed up from everyone's political view), but I will say this:
Anyone who thinks that Bush has the ability to destroy the world, or -for instance- Attack Britain/Germany/Sweden, he doesn't.
This is because George Bush doesn't have control, the people above, and actually below him control him. They tell him what to say, what to do, and who to go to war with. Mind, this isn't some sort of "Hey, pick a name out of the hat George" kind of thing, they plan for months - Even years to come to a decision, whether it's right or wrong.

Have any of you brits (Maybe others, I don't know) seen "Yes, Minister"? It's a 70's comedy about an MP who was accepted to become a Minister for his country. but he wasn't actually making the decisions, but instead was made to think he was. It's very devious, in the way his "Helper" does it. think about that.

And yes, I voted for Half-life 2.

Edit: Damn, I did get into all that war stuff. I'm going to shut up now.

Half Life 2 get's my vote. I live in Norway so I can't do anything about the election. I would vote for Eddie Murphy if I could. And I won't even get into the conspriacy theories regarding the american government (even though it's quite interesting). The CIA, FBI, government staff and foreign terrorist groups should have a go at CSS when it's released. Nice way to solve the worlds problems IMO. As long as Bush doesn't fix this election and win, I don't care. Long live Karl I. Hagen.

CNN NEWS the top story bush quits president because HalfLife2 delay
