im sorry to inform u but the 87 people who voted hl2 have some serious mental defeciencies

Alright, I'll vote for Kerry. Not that it will make any difference because I am not American. Even if I was, my vote probably wouldnt get counted. Land of the free my buttocks.

I mean, come on, it is entirely likely that a good number of people who voted on this thread probably aren't even old enought to vote.

So I think I'll vote the Gordon-Alyx Alliance. Break out the lube!

Yikes. Combining american politics with Half-Life 2 on an internet message board?

This is going to end in tears. :(

wow some people have no sense of humor do they :O

Bush will get re-elected... there's enough rural people out there that don't know much very much about issues and current events that'll vote republican (for bush) because their just registered with it. Also old people... this is a generalization but least here in NE its true... Bush/Cheney 2004 right next to the NRA sticker

Also if bush gets re-elected i am almost positive there will be a draft... meaning me (21) will probably get send over as one of the first groups... They've already looked over old draft laws that were put into disuse after vietnam and updated them... Last time i looked it was men and women aged 18-26 would be drafted. Unless your rich i'm sure you could get out of it

Maybe i would think a little differently about it if it wasn't this war... if it was something like WWII where we HAD to go... even though we were attacked the whole banner of "war of terrorism" doesn't have any bounds on nations... under bush the plan will be to invade the whole middle east and any nation "harboring terrorism"... maybe he'd change his mind about being so happy about being a war president when he is the one having to fight the battles and see the death that is caused daily over there...

His wife even said "I wish people could see him the way i do, funny ... ... ... and he just wants to have peace everywhere"

Who doesn't? So lets send those new nuclear bunker busters on the road to peace!

Kerry isn't that great either... they both suck but kerry is the lesser of two evils... other than that control is not in the hands of the american people... its in the people who have the money in the elitist class

also the election was rigged... gore did win... Jeb is Bush's brother (governer of florida)... they made the woman who threw out the tons of voters names that were similar to felonies became a congresswoman... and those amounts of votes are what gore would have won by because he did...

it pisses me off when people say they are gonna vote for bush because he is "pro-life"... rather than the current war where many people are dying... many civilian casualties... and a draft looming on the horizon... people just don't see the greater issue ... i'm worried about this draft because i don't want to go to a war that is internationally illegal and downright wrong!

etc etc etc... scary times

"You guys honestly have problems if you'd pick the game over the election. Even if you don't live in the States. I live in Canada. This election could change the face of the earth for all we know"

Take that stick out of our ass. You're in canada. You're not in the states.

And I think it's funny that people say bush and re-elected in the same sentence. Bush wasn't elected, not in the normal sense, a judge gave him power. A judge which was friends with the bush family. There's US politics for you.

even though my whole life revolves around HL2, i'm watching the presidential election more cause i need more info to decide which looney to vote for.

either guy we vote for as americans were screwed ,damn politicians and thier damn political band-aids.

if bush stayed in their has been alot of talk about a civil war which would eventually lead into ww3 b/c the usa would not be there to help everyone, instead we would be helpin ourselves over rule a dictatorship govt..
HAHAHAHHA, give that guy a cookie, what a good laugh...
I hope you were joking tough...

and about that civil war... eshh, you're taking it too far.

Well, Half-Life 2 is a game and I'm in Canada so the presidential elections are useless to me. But realistically, if I was an American, I'd go for the Presidential Elections, but seriously, choosing your leader is more important than a video game.

Quake IV, now that's a totally different story.

Goto Hell Politicans!

Bush and Kerry can skull **** each other for all i care.

Pfffft, I'd go buy Half-Life 2 before I went to vote if it came out on election day. :) Hell, I dunno who to vote for anyway! :P

Well, i'm an Aussie so i would love to vote for HL2. But seeming as though my country is about to have an election soon too, I guess i'm meant to vote in that, seeming as though in Australia EVERYONE has to vote to stop stupid people like Bush becoming the priminister of Australia. (if he was an australian etc etc...just as an example) Instead of in America where only like i think 1% of ppl vote??? Dont you care about your country? About the world?

Your all a bunch of ignorant kids, what the hell do you know about anything besides jerking off and playing video games? Especially the euro's. Acting like they know everything there is to know about the United States goverment. You know as much as a broken dishwasher and each time you make an inane post saying the 'US is evil and Bush is a liar' only proves my point further. Just remember where HL2 is being made, and that its the only thing your little pathetic world revolves around (owned).

Your all a bunch of ignorant kids . . . saying the 'US is evil and Bush is a liar' only proves my point further.
You are doing what you are condemning by assuming that everyone saying "Bush is a liar" is ignorant of what Bush has done. You are insulting them without knowing their whole story... making you the ignorant one, in this case.

Anyway, we will never truly know who is "ignorant" in political debates, because everyone is biased. You are biased. I am biased. The politicians are certainly biased. The people that write the history books are biased. The people that control the news are biased. Every bit of news we hear has been filtered through someone's opinion. The closest we can come to unbiased is seeing something for ourselves... and even that is left to our interpretation based on our already biased beliefs.

Slavery was legal, acceptable, and popular in the early United States. The heroes of the South in the Civil War are the villains of the North (and vice versa). The Holocaust seemed justified to many Germans during WWII. It's all about perspective and the propaganda that you are exposed to.

Calling people ignorant in politics shows your own ignorance of the inner workings of politics. Politics is ignorance. It's all about keeping people ignorant of the things you don't want them to hear, twisting things about yourself to sound better than they really are, and making your opponent sound worse than he really is. If everyone knew the single best person to run our country we wouldn't need elections, would we?

Now, go away... or I shall taunt you a second time.

HL2, I'm english anyway, but if i was american i wouldnt give a s*** about the election, i would do the same as i do here, abstain from voting. Imo thats the only vote for change there is.

If i was an american i'd be furious about the state of politics in recent years, you're moving farther and farther away from being a democracy all the time, the same thing is happening in th UK and it scares me tbh.

Politics is a mess and i for one will have nothing to do with it until i see the possibility of my vote actually meaning something.

Half life 2, Im from england so the Election means nothing to me.

All of you from england and the rest of the world must know that the outcome of the presidential election affects the world. Sad but true... but lives would not have been lost from england, U.S., Iraq if Al Gore was president.. so you better start worrying if bush is gonna start dropping bombs on you next..

Don't make me nuke your country.

the election is important and all but there is no big difference between bush and kerry, bush is dumb and kerry is untrustful, plus im 18 and right now i could care less about voting, hl2 for me is way more important because it is more antisapated(spelling)

for all those bush haters out there, u should really do some research on what kerry wants to do about the us govt, remember, kerry can be worse then bush, it almost seems like hating bush is a trend here in america especially all those annoying celebrities, someone should tell those celebrities to shut up and do your job and thats entertain us not try to run the country!
