Ok, now as we all know that HL2 wont come with any form of multiplayer(Besides Cs:S of course), i want to make sure every HL2 fans knows something.
Sven Co-Op was born one day. And today you can go on there and play HL with a friend, also made it easier to make cool little mods for maps etc. It REDEFINED HL's Multiplayer.
Now if memory serves correct Sven Co-Op was one of the modding groups that got the HL2 SDK early(I believe a few clans got this). They have annoucned Sven Co-Op 2 for Half-Life 2. Thus they will bring MULTIPLAYER, most likly a few forms plus co-op.
Now, you should stop your worrying about HL2's multiplayer this mod is coming. And valvE likes to leave multiplayer up to the modders, what if a small version of this comes out after HL2.
Either way, Sven Co-Op 2 will bring you multiplayer. More than a simple deathmatch.
Conlcusion: Not all of us are upset but those who are just remember this mod is coming so be happy
