Hooray for crashes

Sorry to make my first post such a downer, but I have encountered a problem. Weird thing is, I have already beat EP2, yet for some reason, I tried to play it again today and the game is crashing at the very beginning. As Kleiner and Vance are on the monitor and Alyx is talking to them. No idea why it would occur if I have already got past this part once.. Any ideas?

verify game cache. If that doesn't work, check if you've installed any new drivers.

I had the same issues. Currently, I'm using a 2006 driver for my quad 7950s. It's faster then today's drivers.

Ok I did that, and still crashing. I got past that part. Now it crashes at the first encounter with the Hunter. As I try to go in the shack to open the gate, it crashes. Any ideas?
