How do you find the register key in HL1?

I feel really terrible posting this because I saw the thread on the forum less than 2 days ago, but I cannot for the life of me find it.

How do you get your key off of the CD?

Your HL CD key is either on the back of your CD's jewlcase or you can get it, if installed, by going to Start/run/ type "regedit"/HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Valve/Half-Life/Settings/ and its under Key.
*Dont modify anything through your registry editior.*
