There are 3 episodes planned by Valve, and an Episode 4 based in the same universe, but different scenario (not done by Valve).

3 episodes is not that bad: $60 for what amount to one full game.

I was worried there were going to be 6 episodes, then that would have been $120 for Half Life 2 expansions...

Not announced yet, but some developer mentions in a interview some days ago that they are talking with VALVe about future projects. Possibly Episode 4. Can't remember the name on them though.

That was Warren Spector, right? As far as I recall there was no mention of specific projects he would be working on.
Can ANYONE give a link to where someone official states that there will be an Episode 4, because I'll be damned if there's been an news post about it.

In the Eurogamer interview, Gabe only mentions 3 episodes and then possible expansions. I bet the external developer will be working on one of the expansions similiar to Op4/Blueshift, not a Half Life 2 episode.

Can't see any official indication that there will be an Ep 4 there, just wild speculation about who would develop it if there was one. Anything else?
