How to fix the "STEAM certificate legnth error"

go into the steamemu.ini file in your HL2 Deathmatch folder & change:


; Directory to the original steam.dll, if not specified defaults to steam.org in the valve client dir
;OriginalSteam=c:\Progam Files\Valve\Steam\steam.dll

TO

; Directory to the original steam.dll, if not specified defaults to steam.org in the valve client dir
OriginalSteam=C:\Program Files\Valve\Steam\steam.dll

TAKE OFF THE SEMI COLON and point it to YOUR steam directory where you install STEAM
