I need to knonw how to control different characters, like Sonic from the Sonic Heroes Model pack. Where do I put the models and how do I load them? Please Help.

What I mean is where do you put player models to let them be playable in Half Life 2.

Playable? You mean you wanna change your own skin (which you can't see in first person) to that of Sonic the Hedgehog?

Yeah, I'd like to change the skin, but I think it is possible to see the character, because there's a thirdperson view code. But Please Help.

The third person is barely playable, or bloody hard to - I'm personally not sure how to do it but even then i'm not sure why you'd want to...

Play HL2 as sonic? sounds incredibly retarded to me, and utterly pointless. You must get exited easily or you are incredibly bored at home

you sir dont even know what the discussion is. also its very pointless to change a model when its extremly hard to play in third person;plus what would be the fun of it?

No offence to the OP, but are we suffering some kind of retarded noob wave this week? Or is it my imagination?

Not sure why Valve ever bothered putting the 3rd person view mode in, it's pretty much useless anyway.

They probably had to test npc reactions if they were behind them.

yea its would be mostly a command for the devs. like many other commands that we never use.

edit: lol third person view reminded of the midget models that we had along time ago in css

Playing at sonic for hl2? Thats the most restarted thing I've ever heard of.

My sentiments exactly.

Questions must be followed by question marks, Shasta.

Ok, does anyone know how to upload models and controll them in Garry's Mod 9.0.4? Please help, and please stop talking off the subject! Thank you.

It was a statement, dumbass, not a question. Ever heard of rhetorical? Also I didn't want to confuse him any further by making him think an answer was actually required.

And try using the "quoting" system, rather than screenshots next time. I thought the page had screwed up for a minute, and mashed my post into yours.

Wow, I come back from my business and what do I see? This thread. This is retarded (or, perhaps, restarted).

"Are you?" is a question, even if it is meant rhetorically. Hence 'rhetorical question'.
If you were just making a statement, you would've just said "Lol - not really doing yourself any favours to try and look any smarter though". Also, I think you meant "Ever heard of rhetoric?"

I don't really care about this shit, but I just think you should know what you're talking about before you start getting pedantic at other people...

Wow, i made a spelling error! Whoop-de-f*cking-do. We can all see shasta needs too Stfu Or Gtfo.

You can CLEARLY see I only pointed it out for the amusing irony, not to be a grammar nazi. Chill out.

As for the rest of you cock-smokers, I didn't say it as a question, so it doesn't get a question-mark. I purposely left it out to make it as clear as possible that it was meant as a statement, because it is hard enough to tell tones with just written words. I don't really care if you THINK one should be there, because I don't really care what you think. Find something else to troll about.

"You are" is a statement. "Are you?" is a question. As a rhetorical device, it's still a question, and has a question mark.

Lol, you lose at grammar, and with "Mnneeeh I don't care what you think", you lose at arguing.

...And this is exactly why I didn't put a question-mark in there. You don't seem to understand the little things, (like the fact that it was NOT a question) so if I had put a question-mark at the end of something that was NOT a question, I can see that it would have blown your mind.

If you ever grasp the concept that IT WAS NOT A QUESTION, an apology will do fine.

I guess that it is all my fault. I didn't see that this was the "kiddies happy play time" section. My bad.
