great forums.... :D

Huxley is a nice idea.
The two trailers are complete bull.
The demonstration looks real and pretty good. The graphics are impressive and what I'd expect from UE3. If you look closer at the textures you see that most of them are very very high-res. Also it seems like they transition from low-res to high-res smoothly as you get closer.

All in all Huxley could be a great game if they can make the grinding fun. That possibility is actually the most exciting feature of this game. The only other game where grinding can be fun (that I know of) is EVE, where building and trading are good and imo fun alternatives to the boring regular grinding (fighting relatively easy npcs and sucking rocks). Ofcourse battlegrinding can be fun if you add risk to it (hunt in low-sec space) but then it isn't as much grinding anymore.

I doubt very very much that we will see huxley in 2006, but you never know. It is definately on my "games to watch closely"-list.

I predict a 10-quid fee.

.bog.

Great. Every time there's new media we can make a new thread for it!

Maybe try putting it in this thread where there's a ton of good info about it anyway? Just a thought. Its a lot easier to go to one thread for all of your Huxley info than looking all over for it, agreed?

Great graphics, but what the hell kind of name is Huxley? Horrible.

i kind of like the name myself
huxley looks incredible.
i can't wait. might actually subscribe, if this is a subscription mmo.

The kind that's based on the name of the author of the book on which the game is based. See here for details.

I see. I still think it's a crap name for a game though. Why not name it after the book, or something that has to do with the game.

Having seen the vids and presumably read the info on the huxleygame site, what would you call it? "Huxley" does seem like a bit of a cop-out though. No thought put into that one, I agree :P.

real men want ingame footage damn it, not these girly trailers.

gosh, their site is inredibly bad.

Interesting fact: Thomas Huxley coined the word "agnostic."

Um, we're talking about Aldous Huxley here, not his grandfather, but I suppose that is somewhat interesting. Thomas was also known as "Darwin's Bulldog."
