I Am Pissed! Collectors Edition No DOD!

I don't care what the hell the box said (which wasn't "You Don't get DOD:S") I bought the most expensive package there was to buy for HL2, and now they are telling me that I don't get DOD:S. They can all suck a fat one. They should give DOD:S to collectors edition owners, it feels like they wanna take a stab a vivendi so they are taking it out on us. I am freaking on fire mad right now. Gosh valve knows how to make complete asses of themselves.

yes collectors edition should have had dod source considering the price. but no its not valves fault you dont dod source. its your fault for never looking carefully what you got exactly in the box. you would have been infinitely better off with silver or gold bought over steam.

Also, Day of Defeat Source was only released very recently. The Collector's Edition thing has been out for about a year.

DoD Source is not a give away. Why would you get it? No one else got it free. Unless you paid more than you did for the box (Example:Silver over Bronze on Steam). Why not just get the discount and buy it over steam before it was released?

I don't see a difference except you are paying for it now rather than before.

I too bought CE, but you don't seem me complaining.

I need to have a disc, and I wanted the Tshirt. I think it was a fair tradeoff for not getting DoDS.

Oh and if it weren't for Kamikazie begging me 30minutes before release to get it (I was playing HL2 again ) I would have passed this over completely.

What, do you think that valve would change their minds and release DODS to everyone?

Also. I believe that the Collectors Edition was set up by good ol vivendi universial. They sold you basically a regular ol retail HL2 cd-key and all the goods. And a retail cd-key = HL2 and CSS only.

You are really lost. Heres a hope for you that you find some common sense.

I cant remember what exacly the ce comes with, but perhaps valve get paid as much for a collectors edition as a normal half life 2, ie for the cd key, an all the other extras all came from vivendi. If thats the case then of course theres no way valve should give you dods just because you gave vivendi more money... its a pity though because I can see why you would be upset...

yeah, I know it's all on me. I should have paid more attention. I know this already. I just felt that the wool got pulled over my eyes. I feel like ..."Ok, so I buy the absolute most expensive package, then I should get everything". It's just sad that I paid more for my HL2 than many people, and I get less. Oh well, like I said lesson learned.

It's a collector's edition. Meaning there's stuff for the collector.

I don't recall it being called Ultimate Collection of Valve Games.
