I have read that there are 2 versions of the game

Ok cant find a link to this but it seams that there are 2 versions one is censored is this true?

In the intro you do see the girl being beheaded, for example.

I want to get the uncensored version.

Anybody?

Yes, there are the US and the UK versions. The UK version has that beheading taken out and some nudity removed, and there seem to be more bugs. So if you are across the pond you may want to import it from the US.

(my US version is buggy as hell anyway, but I hear its worse over there)

Buggy doesn't even begin to cover it. And, I don't think most of the problems are from Troika/Activision...I think most of the problems are HL2 engine bugs. I've been reading the forums for HL2 problems, and most of them are the same as what I've been getting. They'll get 'em ironed out, and hopefully I'll be able to apply the knowledge to VtM.

VTM uses an older code drop of the hl2 engine.

They had to branch off the main code base to add stuff like python to the game.

Based on my observations I would say the VTM engine is atleast 1 year older the the current source engine.

There is more nudity in the US (American) version than the UK (British) version

Does anyone know of a patch to make the UK version like the American one? If not, can anyone design one maybe? I'm useless at coding so couldn't do it myself.

Also, anyone heard anything about a general patch being released to fix the numerous bugs?

Overall though, this is a great game!

Yeah i'm playing through it and its tons of fun, fun combat, its like a mix between Fable and KOTOR (combat terms)

I love Jeanette and Therese though :E
