I just discovered Street Fighter

My poor thumbs! On recommendation from a friend I've been checking out loads of them the past couple of days, SFII and the Alphas. I can just about dragon punch and fireball at will now, but playing on a keyboard it's a bitch getting the diagonals in for specials. Addictive as ****, and I'm still learning shitloads about ground recovery, counters etc in Alpha 3.

Anyone else really into their SF?

wow jondy you are a noob. I kind of go through life assuming that anyone who has heard the term "video game" has played Street Fighter at some point or another. Have you also played Mario, and Pacman?

But that's what's great about it, it's all about skill... learning moves and combos etc. ****ing frustrating at times too.

I love SF in all its forms. You need to get yourself a decent pad/stick my man - playing SF with the keyboard is like trying to type with your nose.

Hehe, I use WASD and ashamedly use Z and X for diagonals

I played the first SF up to Super Street Fighter on the SNES. I never played Alpha or anything like that. Used to be one of my favorite games to play.
