Woot! Always wanted the original box and everything!

I got everything! The original strategy guide, box, box contents, and its not even registered to steam.

Check out pics.

Cant wait to get my hands on it.

I payed $30 for the product and $4.50 for shipping.

Who thinks its worth it?

CDkey is probably in use, I wouldn't even try to use it.. Other than that, cool.

I bought the Platinum pack and Blue Shift off e-bay and they worked fine.

Congratulations, Raziel!

Rgr i have the platinum pack and original Blue Shift box. I should take a pic of my collection once this comes in..

Thats a good idea :p

if you buy hl1 from teh store you dont have to use steam to play it.

I didn't buy this to play it, i bought this as a collectors item. Its a big plus it wasn't registered to steam tho. Which makes it even more rare.

I did because it was all buggy and crappy basically.

1.6 > Any other version

That's totally the version I bought back in january 1999.

I still have the cd, but not the box or the booklet.

I have the original boxed version, but the UK copies didn't have the fold-out picture of Gordon and the Zombies :(

If you didn't have the orange boxed version of HL1 all this time, then you're a noob and need banned from the forum.

well thats not really fair... this is a half life 2 forum (thus "halflife2.net" ) and some of us weren't really around for that, or at least not old enough to appreciate it.

WTF??!! 35.50 bucks??!!
this game is eight years old!! i have seen it in the shop for about 90 crowns (around 3 bucks)

I've seen it at warez for free! ( by the way, hl1 is about $9.98 in the US... )

i checked it on internet.
about 6 bucks with original cover + opposing force and blueshift, and O.F. is also in original pack.
including guide and everything

well, i dont know about all that but i believe last time i checked at walmart they had just halflife ( it might have been hl:s ) in the cheep little jewel case, i dont know if blueshift came with it, it might have. but i think it was about 10 bux, remember tax is less then shipping and handling.

I have the origional box and stuff to but I lent it to my neighbour once and he used the Serial on steam!

kacation_man: yea, but you dont live in slovakia... unfortunatelly for you
Mutley: woooow, thaaaats bad :(

I got Half-Life game of the year edition. Didn't play PC games back then.

and for all the people posting how they have seen it all over the place or for cheaper. Seriously have you read my post or do you just go on a make your dumbass posts that have nothing to do with the point of the thread.

Find me a boxed version with all contents and game not registered on steam, not only that the original strategy book.

I have the old ass original version too.
Plus my Father has a lot of the packages and games for a lot of games from the eighty's and stuff.
I like the old game packages, the new ones are crappy by comparison.

I have that big 'ole box and the prima guide too.

Not the greatest condition, but hey :p

How much did you get yours for?

I got mine at a com shop s$56 around 56 auzzie dollars too!
erm 30 USD
around 19GBP

Bah, I bought the first Generations pack back when it first came out. :P

I find it funny that you think you "won" it on e-bay. Was it a competition? With prizes? For free? I "won" $20 gas at the petrol station today. I just had to pay them $20 for it. There was a few cars lined up at the pumps, but the one in front of me left, so I got in there! Oh wait, that's not a competition. It's a purchase.

LMAO

Shasta when i insulted you i was well joking and i apologise for that but now erm, you're not really making sense, have you ever won anything on ebay?
Theres the joy and happiness that you've won as well, many people can outbid you and well, you lose...

It's an AUCTION site for a reason! And it was a HIGHLY sought after collector's item, which many people sought after! But in the end, Raziel GOT it! When you GET something many people want, it is akin to winning!

I won an auction.

Ive never had the courage to say that, Jintor... u.. u... u rock

LMAO

Paying for something, is not my definition of "winning" anything. Damn brainwashed Americans. You'll believe anything advertisers and companies tell you to believe.

The correct term for being the highest bidder in an auction is the "winner".

Comes from the fact that an auction is a direct competition between many bidders.

The person who comes out on top of a competition is a winner...

Paying for something is buying. Obtaining the right to be the one buying is winning.

Shasta, 2nd mistake, the 3 posters here were from either Australlia or Singapore...

bliink rocks too

btw Jintor i noticed in your avatar the words Asia Is Superior
