You are cutting it close to the minimum requirements but you should be good.

I suggest downloading steam and creating an account (you will have to even if you buy the game) and then downloading the demo of Half Life 2.

If the demo runs decent, then so will the full game. Best of all the demo is free, so you have nothing to lose!

I have way worse than that system and it runs fine on fullscreen resolution and all the advance video settings on medium to high... so you should be fine

I had better specs than that on my old PC, and the game would not run.

Then again, I have a very old motherboard. Your game should run at a playable frame rate on the lowest settings, but loading times may be a bitch.

Although tbh I advise you upgrade. HL2 is designed to run fairly well on low settings but you'll really be missing out on some fiiiiiiiiiiine gaming.
