I need help getting in games

So I downloaded Garrys mod 9.0.0
(I also have installed CS:S, HL2, HL2 deathmatch)
Then I saw that I needed to download garrys mod 9.0.4 so i downloaded it and installed it.
When I try to join a game from the servers list (garrys mod not launched yet), it wouldn't let me connect to the "VAC servers"

So I tried again, this time I was already in garrys mod this time it says my version was wrong or something

I restarted it, nothing happened. I've been trying a lot of different ways now for days. Do you guys think I installed Garrys mod wrong? because it just says garrys mod 9, does it show 9.0.4? hmm

Hardly anyone plays Garry's Mod 9.0.4 anymore, it's been replaced. Pay 10 bucks and buy Gmod 10.

The thing is, Gmod 9.0.4, which was the latest version before 10, isn't even hosted on Garry's website anymore. So unless you can find another way to get it, you're pretty much screwed. Invest in Gmod 10, it'll be worth it, I promise. And you'll get updates...

Unless, of course, someone else knows how to fix this.

Apparently Garry made it so you couldnt join Gmod9 servers, thus promoting Gmod10.

That's not possible without him updating the 9.0.4 version of gmod, you know?
