I need some dedicated Modders

Let me first start this off by introducing and telling a little about myself. I have been mapping since Hammer for the First Engine was released. Ive mapped for Counterstrike and Day of Defeat. I have been working with the Source SDK's Hammer 3.5 since its release last november. I have completed a few Day of Defeat Source maps as well. I know quite a bit, and can, about texturing for Source. I can also model (learning) with XSI Softimage. I have a Sound Studio in my house so as for sounds, I can do that as well. Im taking Computer Science AP for schooling and thus I have some knowledge of Windows based C++.
I have no prior modding / mod team experience but I can accomplish a lot of whats needed to put one out to the public.

Who I need :
+Dedicated Mappers (this mods maps dont call for extreme knowledge of mapping or good texturework, just time)
+Dedicated Modelers (as well as mapping, the modeling wont be extensive, just basic figures, spheres and cubes)
+Dedicated Animators
+Programmers (need knowledge of C++ and how to implement with Source, the engine wont need much changing for the mod, but the items have very unique functions.)

What the team needs :
+Website Designer and Manager

I have my own Ventrilo Server where we can talk and discuss ideas about the Mods Vision and Future. Now im not going to release any information on it here on the forums. You must contact me and upon a team forming we can start working together on the idea and seperately on our jobs. This mod, once started, wont take long to finish, but its not a Addon to anything existing already. Its its own thing, nothing like it has been done before. Not even graphically. That curriculum is in Java, isn't it?
 
Im in AP JAVA, but the class that im taking also has C++ as a joint, therefore I learn that as well.

The engine's not open source - I don't think you'll be doing any changing to it ;)

Thats not what I meant but you know what i mean :P Can you help at all? If you get involved in this you really wont regret it.
 
Sorry, I'm doing paid work at the moment :P

By the sounds of it, after a good week of staring at the source code, you should be able to cope with the coding parts.

I might help you out depending on what type of mod you are making. I would like to make a map with someone else as my skills are in BSP/Modeling my knowledge is lacking in impporting stuff, effects, AI etc.

Haven't you thought about joining an already-established mod team?
 
This mods work has already begun, Smokin, If you could model, I would appreciate if you would take up that job rather than mapping for we have far fewer modelers than mappers. I, myself, am mapper as well. I can not use MSN messenger, Internet problems, but AOL instant messenger suits me just fine. Aim me @ thedormantspore or email me @ [email protected].
