I noticed something in the new pics.

Yeah, I am downloading that again just to be sure.

That would mean that killing the big bad guy (I forgot how to spell it, Started with an N.) freed the Slaves. (some say that he was a slave.) So I guess that is more evidence that the ones behind the Combine were also behind the Invasion from Xen.

Like I said, I am not sure that this has been talked about. But I find it interesting that you might be fighting along side those annoying bastards.

Well, in the E3 vid, we see the one talking to Eli apparently zapping something in the background, only the electrical beam is blue and constant, instead of green and short-lived.

In the elevator with Mossman, we see the older-style electrical attack being used for some reason... maybe the Vortigaunts have their own firing range?

a badly timed shot lol. anyway, the slaves are supposed to be our 'allies' in hl2, but listen to the interview with doug from E3. he says something along the lines of 'the 3 races are inter-linked'...so a spanner is probably going to be thrown into the works.

i wouldnt be surprised if the xen actually turn on us for some reason, and the combine end up being our allies. always suspect the least obvious solution.
