If i delete local game content will it erase my saved chapters?

My computer doesn't have alot of memory, I just beat HL2 and I need more space on my computer for other work (mainly video editing stuff), I was wondering if I delete the local game content, will it erase all saved games including access to all 14 chapters? Will all the chapters be blank if I later re-install HL2? Will it also un-istall CS:S and Deathmatch?

no, it saves in the hl2 folder in your user folder in your steamapps folder

It will only delete Half-Life 2. You'll have to delete local game content with the others to delete them. This however will only save you about 500mb or so. Its those huge GCF files that take up 5gb. Just put your SAVE folder in your My Documents folder and delete everything if you have to, you can always re-install later anyways.

Thanks for the help, I just put my saved games folder that was in the steam apps in my documents and deleted everything else, as well as HL2 ( )

Sooner or later I'll re-install.
