So I was looking back at HLS once more for grins and they have a quote from Doug Lombardi saying that they plan to send the release candidate to Vivendi in August and hope to see it in stores by fall.

...Anyone know of verification to this? I'm hoping its wrong (as all HL2 fanboys should), and I didn't see it directly tagged to Mr. Lombari's name. Indirect quote? ...Falsified? (I'm hoping not)

Wow. HL2 does NOT HAVE A RELEASE DATE CURRENTLY.
VALVe hopes to deliver the gold master to Vivendi in August. This could mean August 1st, this could mean August 31st. No one knows, not even VALVe.

Add a few weeks to the time it "goes gold," and you should have an accurate (or close to it) date. The game should be out late summer/early fall if all goes well.
