Greetings ValveTime.net posters, and Valve company enthusiasts!

I really enjoy Valve products and the Valve company in general (post Half-Life 1 products), and I feel that I will fit right in with all of you other Valve lovers, because, as I said, I love Valve too and I one day wish to be a part of their development team. Maybe as an Game Ideas Manager or even a writer/ploter.
I've lurked in these forums for a few months now, so I feel it's finally time to get out of my shell and write some stuff about myself, get to know the community better, and help give a small step in making this site a little bigger.

Bio
I am Mingagag. I hail from Leeds, United Kingdom. My current occupation is a student, and I am majoring in Journalism while double minoring in History and Physical Education. I am attending Hull University full time, but I also have a job as a fitness instructor for some of the local gyms.

Interests
My interests are mostly video games, video game paraphernalia, and video game journalism. I have found the video game industry to be one of the most prolific, honorable groups to write for, and that's where I hope to be one day. I am a white, Anglo-Saxon, straight Protestant. I really enjoy the company of the female persuasion. Being a fit man, it is no secret that all of the ladies are very attracted to me and I am also attracted to them and also I like to make out with the ladies preferably on the lips and we can also lock tongues if that is OK with them. I also like to work out, and I bench a lot of huge iron so I can bulk up and flex my manly huge muscles in front of ladies. I am straight and I am not gay. If you would like to meet me in real life (of course if you're local to the Leeds area), please feel free to give me a PM and we can meet up. I am currently 23 years old, so drinking is unfortunately out of the question. I agree with Americans in that drinking should be reserved for people of the more mature persuasion, and I find that being 16 is extremely too young to be drinking any beverage that affects the psyche of a young man such as myself. Also, I pride myself on being extra fit, so adding beer weight would only serve to hinder my growth as a strong individual, both physically and mentally.
I am a huge proponent of the no masturbation, no pornography movement. If you haven't seen the movie Don Jon, you totally should. It is about the dangers of masturbation and how it can seriously ruin your life as a male. If you are a female, you are probably not watching porn and instead you are opting to see chick flicks for females. Which is alright with me, seeing as I am a ladies man who enjoys the female company, so I think chick flicks are a good way to lock tongues and be intertwined in love, so to speak. I do not believe in sex, as I am Straight Edge and I follow the words of Davy Havok of AFI who started this movement.

Why I am Here
I am here to, as I said, help grow this community. I think my personality is unique and respectable enough to be appreciated by you "valve-timers" (what I like to call people who frequent valve-time.net). I also have aspirations to be a video game journalist/video game historian, so I figure if you guys like my writing enough, I can become one of these for your site. If not, that is fine too. I am currently in a relationship, so I do not want any of you to contact me about dating, since I am already in a relationship with a female. Do not contact me if you are interested in dating, especially if you are male because I am a straight male and not a gay male, whom likes to do things like date men.

Accomplishments
I am currently a Quadruple Dean's Lister and I have won many medals for my muscles and writing. I have once put an illegal offender of illegal things in a triple headlock and did a double whirlwind bodyslam, instantly killing him. I also listen to music such as: Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit, Godsmack, Coldplay, and Metallica. No, I do not like My Chemical Romance. They ripped off AFI. I also play guitar in a band of my own, Capture the Crown.

so I figure if you guys like my writing enough, I can become one of these for your site.

I certainly enjoyed your extremely descriptive discussion in a thread involving Half-Life. It was riveting.

What.

I feel like I know you too well having only read one post by you. I've known Vegeta 9 years and I don't know this much about him.

Just making sure I have a post parked in this thread on page one.

I just took the time to read the whole thing and I feel like I'm reading a character bio from a game design document.

I remember listening to AFI back in 2004. Are they still around? Have they gotten good yet?

I had an ex who was an AFI groupie and still is. Her best memories are of a year she spent following these man-children around. Apparently they have quite a large cult following. I found it incredibly obnoxious but tried my best to quell my feelings of hopelessness for society while looking at her room of posters from her teenage years.

Valvetime was a video game all along. Munro was the final boss.

Ha, I was born and raised in Hull. I also have a friend studying Geography at Hull University. These are facts.

You have to get in deep, man. Just not too deep. When you get in too deep.. We can't do this.

Favorite video game? Favorite show? Favorite Food? Come on I need more information than your romantic life! Also Journalism is an AWESOME profession to follow (mostly because I read video game articles half the time).

Thanks!

That was not exactly what I meant. I edited it later to clarify.

Just expounding some of my philosophies.

I feel like I know you too well having only read one post by you. I've known Vegeta 9 years and I don't know this much about him.

Who is Vegeta?

Just making sure I have a post parked in this thread on page one.

I'm glad to hear that. You're posting in the introduction thread to someone who may become ledgendary. :)

I just took the time to read the whole thing and I feel like I'm reading a character bio from a game design document.

Good! I hope to write for video games in this same style.

Well, that certainly escalated quickly.

What did?

I remember listening to AFI back in 2004. Are they still around? Have they gotten good yet?
They have always been good.

What's her name/where does she live? Maybe we can hang out and kiss.

Valvetime was a video game all along. Munro was the final boss.

Who is Munro?

You fool, Munro was just the tutorial!

I find that tutorials in video games really make the experience shallow and unrewarding. Video game developers should trust that their players know that they need to experiment to truly discover what makes their game fun. But, alas, we live in an era where bigger budgets and a starvation of ideas can lead to more complex and esoteric forms of gameplay. And, moving towards a more digital era, not everyone has access to game booklets which can give vital information when experimentation does not work.
It's a very sad time in the industry.

Do they know me?

You have to get in deep, man. Just not too deep. When you get in too deep.. We can't do this.

Sorry, I am not gay.

Favorite video game? Favorite show? Favorite Food? Come on I need more information than your romantic life! Also Journalism is an AWESOME profession to follow (mostly because I read video game articles half the time).
Favorite Video Game: Final Fantasy Six (6)
Favorite Show: Big Bang Theory
Favorite Food: Hot dogs

Well there goes my week
Sorry, I am straight and I like to kiss girls. I do not like to kiss guys. Sorry.

I love Valve too and I one day wish to be a part of their development team. Maybe as an Game Ideas Manager or even a writer/ploter.
What exactly does being a Game Ideas Manager entail? I have a lot of really good Game Ideas and would love to be paid to Manage them. What can I expect to contribute to a video game development team?

This is a really strange conclusion to come to given everything you said above, could you please elaborate your thoughts on the industry as an aspiring video game journalist/video game historian?

Maybe the forums aren't doomed after all?

Probably because the first thing we do is give anybody new to the forum the impression that the forum is going to collapse in on itself at any given moment.

I do not believe in sex.

I'm sorry but I think you have misunderstood the actual purpose of this website.

also your music taste is like way too high school for us

i have a feeling mingagagag is some really complex spambot

No, we first tell them not to drink the water - then based off their reaction we scald them off the forum and then wonder why nobody comes around anymore.

mingagag (You can seriously tag dudes now?!) if you had the choice between an elephant made of gold or a gold bar made of elephants: calculate the mass of the sun.

If I am correct, this website is for showing your love of Valve and Valve products such as Steam, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, and Counter Strike. I hope I am not misunderstanding the purpose of this website, aptly named ValveTime.net (which is, what I thought, a joke on how the employees at Valve are not good at accurately predicting their release dates). Sorry if I'm confusing the purpose of this website with something unrelated.

Also, I am in college, not high school. So my music is not too high school, I'm in college.

Man, I'm finding it really hard to believe there were any Amalekites in 14th century China, much less royalty.

This isn't meant to be demeaning, but is english your first language? If yes, do you understand irony and/or facetiousness?

Yeah, big guy, it is. And I do understand irony/facetiousness.

I thought you said you weren't gay. I'm positively blushing over here.

Oi, I'm not gay, mate. Didn't mean "big guy" as in big unmentionables. That's really inappropriate. I meant "big" as large (ironically) and "guy" as human male (facetiously).

Sorry, edit: as human male => as human man. Didn't mean to be cisgendered.

Edit 2:
I certainly enjoyed your extremely descriptive discussion in a thread involving Half-Life. It was riveting.
I forgot to address this more. Do you have any open positions for writing posts on Valve or Valve products open on this site?

When you crack three months from now, Mr. Turtle's gonna look like a walk through the gardens.
