I was wondering if there's a command that will make it so when you change the cheat's value, it doesn't say so in the text margin ( you knwo when it says sv_cheats ahs been set to 1 ) Thanks!

also how do you define if your console command is a cheat or not?

My problem is I don't want the server saying cheats have been turned on when I set sv_cheats to 1. It always says that message, I don't want it to. Kinda like in mani admi nwhere you can make it so nobody sees the admin's name if they slap, slay, kick, ban, ect.

i tryed doing a search for sv_cheats and i didnt really get anything. pressumeably if you find where the code for sv cheats with the booleen function then it should have a line that tells it to display a message saying sv cheats is set to 1 so you could just comment this out.

lol just been through every single place where cheat comes up and found nothing. you could always take away the ability to access the consol in your mod.

No, it's for a script package I'm making which uses ent_fire a LOT, thanks for looking though. I think ma_rcon doesn't display though, my only option...

I dunno why but i don't get this message at all. That'd help alot if I could test it but anyway. I think the message comes from the m_pszHelpString variable and the function that returns that value is GetHelpText (ChangeStringValue t modify the text) in the convar.cpp file. Correct me if im wrong, id also like to know how this message works.

crackhead:
You can check with the function sv_cheats->GetBool();

All I'm wondering is if it's possible for there not to be a server messenge when you change a variable. It's that simple.
AKA when you change sv_gravity- sv_accelerate, sv_cheats, the server variables. For example if you change sv_cheats to 1, it displays a message that sv_cheats has been set to 1 ...

<Sarcasm> oh thank god your here to tell us that hungry duck </sarcasm>
