I have heard it explains how they made the game and gave some office stories, but I also heard it told you about every thing that was cut from the game. Which is true?

both and its completely worth the money, its awesome

I recently bought it and I loved it! I read the entire book in a couple hours, but I still like to go back and look more at the artwork, the ideas, the backstory...

If you're a big fan of Half-Life, this book is invaluable to you. If you have any interest in how games are designed, this is also for you. It looks at early drafts of the script, talks about how Valve made gameplay decisions, is filled with art and renders; basically it tells you everything you need to know about Half-Life.

It's an excellent book and is worth every penny.

I wouldn't pay $100 for it though, Too pricey.
I would, but that's just me. I'm a sucker for art books, even if I don't care about the game too much. How much more for my favorite game in the world?

can I get this at like a barnes and noble or Boarders?
You can, but you might have to special order it. I ordered mine at Borders, and it only took them a week or two to get in. If you're lucky though maybe they'll have one on the shelves.

I want to buy it, but havn't gotten around to it. Will soon, though.

there some place on line where i can look at the book. with like some sample pictuers and short articles from the book to help me decide weather or not I'd like to buy it or not?

Okay, S eopl arrraying s wort he money but does tvr bf ls 1&2 and also ep.1?

and how big is it?

Please try typing with your hands and not with your feet. I can barely make out what you're saying.

Uh...I guess you're asking which games it covers. Just HL1 and 2, not Episode 1. And it's 288 pages long.

Got mine yesterday only £3.50 cause they were trying to get rid it it was totally worth it and very interesting.

I think I'll order it later today, I really want to get it.

Yeah it's pretty good stuff, some of the concept art is intense. It's a pity that Viktor Antonov and Valve have parted company though, as most of the Citadel/combine installations were taken from his designs.
