Is it just me or is Steam not starting?

I start up steam like normal and after displaying the check for updates windows for about 30 secs, it disappears and no steam.exe in my task manager.

And I also cannot load up www.steampowered.com.

Anyone?

I think, that valve is a bit furiously.
So we, the community, have cracked their programm.
And its illegal to change or to crack a programm.
I think. Don't beat me if I'm wrong.

A war between VALVe and the community? That would be horrible. Athough VALVe would undoubtedly win, they could send us all in to panic by threatening to withhold Hl2.
