...does everybody else, everytime they see a barrel or cement block, want to pick it up and throw it with an imaginary gravity gun? Or build a physics puzzle with it? Or something?

Or am I just weird? :p

I was walking down a street yesterday, and I was trying to read the writing on a building in the distance. I couldn't read it, and I instinctively moved my ring finger downwards while my hand was in my pocket, as if to press the zoom button. :| :| :| :| :| :|

 AH! Thats classic! :)

Rofl@Kage.

That would work if we had freaken optical zoom eye implants.
Which I really wish we had, i'd so have one.

And you obviously don't understand humour. Nor that after playing a whole game, some of the nuances you've learnt from it can be imprinted in your mind somewhat. :P

Anyway, back to the actual question. I do, yeah, but then remember that physics have always been around, and just throw the cement block anyway... Though granted, it would be tons more fun with a gravity gun. Well, at least they'll probably be one of them around someday.

I have trouble playing other games, actually. Every time I see an object that's not bolted down, I keep wanting to pick it up, or at least send it flying from an explosion, or something. Valve have tarnished my enjoyment of other games. I hate them.

I don't know about you guys but on the buggy levels whenever I came upon an abandonded house I had the uncontrollable urge to straighten it up. I'd rearrange of the chairs, tables, and beds so it looked liveable instead of the pig sty it once was. And if there was a bucket around I'd throw all the garbage into it like you're supposed to. If I had a real gravity gun my house wouldn't be the mess that it is.

lol, an argument against a humurous argument, saying it that he doensn't know humor... LOL

Definitely not just you...my friend and I were both talking about how now we see the world as if it was HL2, and we want to pick up and throw objects with the physgun. I see cones and streets signs and wonder what would happen if they were hit with a physgun blast.

I saw a wooden thing yesterday, the things in warehouses that forklifts pick up, thats in HL2 everywhere, i automatically think of the game. And those radiators, and those trolly like things in HL2DM, they are just spot on in the game. Shame about not having a gravity gun to lob down the street :(

I never used zoom, so that would be rare in my case.

Anyone with me?

Me too.... this technology needs to speed up. I want an implant laptop in my head as well.

me! didn't know about it still half way, and deemed it pointless anyway. Cant hit anything from that range anyway, except with the crossbow which has its own zoom. Btw my Raising the Bar i got today is Hardback, isnt it supposed to be paperback? can someone clear that up for me.

Post below : Cheers kage

It's hardback, mine is as well.

Don't worry, the symptoms you are describing are consistent with a known illness named fanboyism. Several symptoms include sheer unwillingness to accept other great games, posting consistently in a forum about how Halo 2 suxzorz, and dillusional attempts at recreating actions from the game in real life. As far as we know this condition has no known cure, but it appears many subjects aqquire new forms of the virus after another highly anticpated release.

We suggest plenty of sleep, fluids, and varity in gameplay to assist in easing these symptoms. Most successful attempts have been made when subjects open to the possiblity of several great games instead of one supreme entity. Some professionals feel that because of this, fanboyism is more of a mental illness than physical. Consult your local game retailer for more information.

i think about doing hl2 things in real life, so often, i am sad, ah well, back to waiting for my 9800pro to magically fix itself

LMFAO! HOLY CRAP! That made my day.

Well, HL2 is the first game that made me aware of the enviroment in a very new way. Every time I go down the street and see some rocky ground or gravel I go: "Cool bump mapping!" or when I see some water there: "Wow, it's those fresnel FX from HL2 again!" And then I just laugh at VALVe, the world and my dumb self of course. :afro:

One thing I catch myself doing is whenever I see a puddle or a pool of water, I'll get low and see the reflections, and it reminds me so much of HL2's reflections.
Also, something else I do, thanks to CS, is whenever I'm at a keyboard, home or school, I automatically assume the "Ctrl W A D Space" position. Damn these games and that addictive thing called "fun."
