I mean, I doubt I could do it, but imagine this:

Half Life 2, modded to use the Euphoria engine.

Now, I love Havok with all of my soul, but... I played GTA VI the other day, and...well, running over people is SO much more fun using Euphoria, and I couldn't help but wonder what Half Life 2 would be like using it.

Anyone else ever had this epiphany?

I don't see it happening. What would be the point of valve creating the source engine only to ditch it when something else comes along? It wouldn't make much sense on valves part.

It is unnessisary, but I can see the appeal of it.

@Gordonsglasses. Valve could probably attack Euphoria to the Source engine the way Havok is without having to scrap the Source engine. AFAIK Euphoria only handles animations and physics.

^Hmm, true. But would valve do that? I mean, it wouldn't surprise me if valve made their own version of it rather than adding someone elses version to the engine.

I know Valve wouldn't ditch Havok like that. >.>

I just like the reactions that Euphoria brings about. Conditional behavior is the best.

There's more of a reason for it than some of the mods that have come our for HL2.

I honestly doubt that you can say that just plain ragdoll doesn't get boring after a while.

There is no need for Euphoria engine. We got inverse kinetics, animation blending, jiggle bones and so on.

It's not like you just tack on the Euphoria code and you suddenly have a working physics engine. Source would have to be heavily rewritten to accommodate it- not to mention Portal.

Err, yeah. I know. I never SAID that.

Or insinuated it. I know it'd be really difficult, but I was simply asking if a mod WOULD be possible. Not that it makes any difference, beings that such a mod would never come into existence, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I just like to think about such things.
