Hi, I'm hoping someone can help answer this question. I know the Portal 2 soundtrack is free, but is it also public domain? Would it be illegal to put it in a video that you make money from? I'm assuming it would be illegal, but I'm kind of hoping it's not. Thanks for any help.

Pretty sure it's not public domain. You could ask Valve for permission if you liked. Use this form to send an email to Gabe Newell. He claims to read every email fans sent him (which is a lot) though he doesn't always reply.
