Is there a way to stop HL2 crashing when trying to weld something??

I was wondering if there is a fix for HL2 when you try and weld 2 things together and the game crashes. Can it be fixed or is it just something the game can't do?? Thanks.

My PC is more than effecient to run HL2.

1Gig of Ram

3.4Ghz processor

ATI 9800pro

I think it has to do something with the game itself (not being able to do the math or the math equation is not programed into the game.)

Just sometimes..not all the time. It even crashes when I use the pistol with the sticky things (building blocks) sometimes. I really think it's the game itself.

Well if it only happens sometimes thats probably just the random crashes everyone gets from time to time when using jbmod. Theres nothing you can do except save after you do something important so you dont have to keep starting over.

its to do with what your welding, organic crashes the game, well actually, any npc welding crashes the game

No it's not your PC. It's the mod, never happened in hl2 but happens constantly with jbmod.

one thing ive noticed is if ANYTHING is standing vertical and it is stuck in the ground seemingly, never pick it up! it will crash the game. save often and have fun.

also, npc welding does not crash the game... i welded kleiner (sp?) to the airplane in the buildingblocks_final map and then flew him around remote controlled...never crashed.

Polar_Bear. Problem is that happens a lot and the game slows down to a slugs pace...And you have to reload everything or else you crash eventually.
