Argh, I was just about to preorder HL² when I remembered something.

http://www.evoluent.com/

I backordered this mouse 2 months ago, and it still isn't here. I know this isn't a scam, since many people I know have bought the first generation of this mouse, and I got the second generation. The mouse has been delayed 3 times now, it's supposed to be blocked somewhere in Taiwan.

Now, will all the delay and everything, there's no way I'm going to invest money as soon as I hear something realistic. By realistic, I mean a release candidate sent to Vivendi, not a release date coming from Johnson, Lombardi or Newell.

As soon as I hear something that I feel will be real, I'll preorder it. But I won't get fooled in paying something 2 months in advance only to be deceived 3 other times.

Go to EB games, preorder HL2, pay a deposit of $5 bucks, and that's all there is to it, and if you change your mind, losing five bucks isn't that bad.

just wait untill it appears in the shops, sure its more expensive but at least then you get it on the day

Hmmm.... It's more a question of principle.

When I promise something to some_one_, I try to get it done on time. It should be worse when you promise something to a milli_on_ people :)

Oh, by the way, the store next to where I live, preordering the copy costs the full price, not just 5$.

For preordering the only rule is make no large commitments, always be sure that you can get out of it in the last second without losing tons of money.

You complain. Imagine all those people that preorderd HL2 last summer :)

I would think that pre-ordering at this point would be useless. There are so many people who have already pre-ordered hl2, gaming stores like EB couldnt hold ALL of those copies at once in stock, could they? Those who didn't pre-order, will they have to wait even longer, until all pre-orders are filled? Or is it still going to be a buying frenzy, in which case pre-ordering was really just a waste of time and an extra $5.00 for EB? Or maybe the amount of people who pre-ordered is less than what I am assuming...

The point of preordering is that they know how many copies they can sell for sure. I preordered HL2 3 days after Doom 3 came out, and they still were out of non-preordered Doom 3 copies withing the first 2 hours and all the rest were preordered, so the only way you could get doom 3 is if you got there between 9 and 11 am or preordered it.

Whats the point in preordering, I Preordered doom 3 and got nothing for it. Whats the point in it unless you get something for it? I went to pick it up on release day snickering thinking I was gonna walk out of the store with my copy while the rest sold out. Nope, Like 50 copies sitting on the shelves. I hate the world

That mouse doesn't look very fun to use.

If you know you want a game then preordering is just an insurance; cause if it were sold out then I'd have to start screaming in the store until somebody gave me a copy and I guess preordering is easier.

Can you iron shirts with that thing as well?

Preordering at eb is however much you want to put down towards the game itself, 5 bucks is the minimum.

I get mine via mail.. ati voucher woot.

It's the best ergonomic mouse one can get. I have the carpal tunnel syndrome, and it saved the life of many of my fellows who have it too. Any one with chronic wrist pain should buy this.
