Shamrock gifted me the game. You should see my face guys, I can't believe it! Once more, thank you Shamrock.

As the title suggests, I've seen incredible acts of kindness happen on these forums before by request, and now I thought I'd ask the community for something similar. You see, my head pretty much exploded when I saw Left 4 Dead 2 on sale on Steam. It's the perfect time, really! I'm just getting a new computer and have been excited about the L4D games for a long time, yet never bought any of them. I've been on a low budget with games for some time now.

I would be overwhelmingly happy if some kind person gifted me L4D2 on Steam. It's on sale (6,80€) for the next 23 hours. I don't think I can use even such a small amount of money on it currently, and I humbly request you to be kind enough to buy it for me. I'll get a new computer around Monday and I'll finally be able to play modern games on my computer. Could there be a better way to start?

If someone is kind enough, I would be ready gift them a game in the future, probably during the next month. They could already leave me a request.
My Steam ID is Atsu. I love you.

I would bold that part about willing to give back to the person who gifted you in the future.

Ask for Crysis 2 instead, it's a better test for your new computer.

I'll be happy to accept any Crysis 2 gifts. But I don't think it will happen. :p And it got pulled out of Steam, right?

FFFFFUUUU I have 60 bucks in my paypal from bitcoins, but no bank account info to put in so the limit is 0 dollars.

I just can't believe it. Shamrock is a wonderful, kind, friendly and generous person who just gifted me the game!

I like how this is a thinly disguised begging thread.

I was going to ban you, but seeing as how Shamrock gifted you the game, I'm all overcome with warm and fuzzy emotio...

Nah, just kidding. I'm going to ban Shamrock instead.

If you don't give Shamrock a game in return I will personally come over to your house to make you.

And don't even think of telling others about your success story of begging on HL2.net

Shamrock kindly said that I don't have to gift him a game.
*checks his wishlist*
We'll see about that...

HL2.net gives me warm fuzzies sometimes.

Whenever we have mass russian roulette banning sprees that is

Nah, just kidding. I'm going to ban Shamrock instead.

I have been ****ing around on facebook a lot lately, so this is my way of telling you all that I like your post. And that I'm drunk.

I have a copy of Rome Total War (gold) and Mirrors Edge sitting wastefully in my inbox. Any HL2.netters want?

I'd say I want mirror's edge but I've already beat it one and a half times so I know I won't play it so give it to someone who will play it

Mirror's Edge! Yes, please.

Did Christmas arrive early this year?

Never played mirror's edge. It looks like it might be good. I'll have to pick it up sometime.

Mirror's Edge would be cool if you haven't given it away already. (but what I really want is Mass Effect...just putting it out there)

Xmas in July gifting...and isn't Steam having a sale of a similar title? I think it's worth mentioning!

Edeslash, my statement still stands. You don't have to purchase me any game whatsoever. Seriously, I just really want you to enjoy a great game on your new computer.

And thanks for the kind thoughts you guys! :D It means a lot.

Also, thanks Pi. You can ban me. I'll accept it graciously. Maybe with a spot of tea and some biscotti.

You're in the pay it forward phase - you can't just take more. Social sense is hard, apparently.

edit: or this is some kind of confusing elaborate troll or I'm the one with no social sense :|
