Journey of the Vortigaunt places you in the place of Vex, a vortigaunt (yes he is )
When Xen fell through the works of Gordon Freeman, the former slaves where free, and through a teleport they came back to earth. Free but stil hunted, they fled the scene of the portal storm and began the work to make theyr own city, where they could themself direct theyr action, and no longer be slaves.
A year of silent work later and the city is done. Its deep under the earth, so far that the core of the citadell cant reach them. The city of Vorìs, Vortigaunt independent state. Theyr laste free place.
Here they build theyr defences, a gen modified vortigaunt, larger, stronger and more of a soldier then befor. They are the citys defence and have never been seen by anyone in C17. Vex is one of them, and hes a sarge of hes own platoon.
The vortigaunts that dont help the rebels on the surface is safe, for now, in Vorìs. But times are changing.
Vex and hes platoon is going for a standard mission. A combine outpost has come to close to one of the entrances of Vorìs and its Vex and hes platoons work to clear them out. At standard missions a outpost would tell if it was clear to leave the cave but no words have come. Yet they are gonna attack. They cant see anything wrong.
But there was. It was all a trap, and everyone but Vex is killed.
Defeted and humiliated, Vex is taken to a prison, not Nova Prospect, but a special prison for vortigaunts and made a slave for the combines, so they can take tests and find out more about this new type of Vortigaunts.
But things change, and Vex manage to free hes mind, and escape. But befor he escapes he learn that Vorìs is in danger. A insider has come amongst them, and will when the time is right, give the location to the combines, and make a end for every free Vortigaunt.
Vex has now a goal. Return, find the insider and kill him. Its your work that will determind the fate of the last remaning vortigaunts. Are you up to the task?
This is the story, the new story, for the mod. Its changed from what is in our page and will be changed soon.
Our team, V17, is in need of more team members to get this story out.
This mod will have a great range of things to do. New weapons, new, big, areas. At least 20 singel player maps where you will take controll of Vortigaunt soldiers and lead them again in the battle, not at the surface, but in the streets of Vorìs, to fight and save the remaning Vortigaunts.

A top priority is to get some programmers. So if you are a programmer enter here. You will have the work of programming all the new weapons (at least 7 weapons), new monsters and a new character interface. So you need to be good =)
Pleas help us get this mod up and alive again. We are at a stop becaus we have not manage to find a programmer but will be alive again if we find a programmer.
