Just had an operation

I had to get my baby canines removed becaues they would not fall out on their own. I didn't get swollen, but I cried because my mouth was numb and I was drooling everywhere.

That... was a long time ago. >.>

My adult 'nines never did come in properly. I pushed down on them so they would be useful, but it's crowding my other teeth. Recently I've just been pushing on my teeth to get them to move outwards. They hurt right now. It's a very sensual pain, though.

My dentist keeps telling me that i need to get my wisdom teeth removed. I keep telling her to stfu.

When do wisdom teeth usually grow all the way in?

Early twenties is when most people have them pulled. I had 2 at 22, then the other 2 a couple of years later, IIRC. I know I wouldn't want to have all 4 done at once - ouch!

You may not even really need it.

I had my wisdoms pulled over 7 years ago for 8 teeth total.

I did however decide about an hour ago to see the dentist again and get a consultation, so I can see an orthodontist. My memory is fuzzy but my dentist asked me if I wanted braces like when I was 17.

Why oh why didn't I do it. /myself

Heh, my dentist when I was a teen suggested braces, but my parents didn't wanna spring for it. Especially after we attended one of his customer appreciation parties at his luxury beach house, corvette in the carport, boat in the launch. But he did know his stuff. Always superior work. They switched me to another dentist who messed up a filling that promptly discolored and looked pretty lame.

But I would have to agree, it wouldn't have been worth it, a subtle improvement at best, but it sounds like you might really need them.

My teeth aren't really that bad. My upper canines are 1/4 too high, one lower incisor is pushed behind the others causing slight pain, and one upper incisor is getting pushed back and it appears as if I got hit in the mouth quite hard. One molar is pushed about 1/4 inch inside but it doesn't bother me too much.

Oh, when I bite all the way down, only 2 rear molars touch. :S

It's the two upper canines that ruin my smile though. From a profile the upper incisor ruins it :/

So yeah, not that bad. :////////

There's nothing I can do to take away the pain and I've got to wait another five days before it can be removed. I don't know how I'm going to last that long. Next time some doctor suggests to me i have an unnecessary operation I'm just gonna say to them "f*** you", the f***ing pain Nazis.
Sorry if I sound all whiny, but this is driving me mad and I want to moan about to someone who can share my pain.

Damn, sounds like torture compared to what I had done.
I feel a bit of pain right now, really only in one corner of my mouth where he decided not to put stitches in.
The pain might worsen as it heals (I'll let you know if it does ), but it's bearable at the moment.

Pain's still bad for me at the moment. I've just taken some soluble Asprin, so hopefully the pain shoud go soon, if only temporarilly. I've got four morerdays until the pack is removed. I just hope they by fast! In the meantime, I plan to hole-up in my baed for most of the time, and doing writing, playing HL2 and watching TV when I'm not in bed. I find playing Half-Life the best distraction because I can't focus on the pain then. I've started a game of Monopoly with my mum now so I'll be using that as a ditration as well.

Had the pack taken out nearly an hour ago and now I have a f***ing hole in my mouth and I am not happy. Infact, I've been crying since I got back from the hospital because it feels so horrible and it makes me feel sick. I can't talk properly; my speech is all muffled and people can't understand what I'm saying. I've decide I don't want to go back to college until the hole has gone and I can talk properly again because I don't want to have the piss taken out of me.

I wish. But I think half a year would be better than half a day. Six months would give me way more time to heal. I hope by the time i go back to college next week my mouth's healed a bit. Well, a lot, actually. If anyone does say anything horrible I can always tell that I will make them feel exactly how I feel.

God, i feel so shit at the moment. There's not much worse than having a chunk missing from your mouth. It just makes me feel so sick and I hate it, I hate it, I HATE IT!!!:frown:
