killing an innocent early on?

just started a new thief/assassin wood elf and i was wondering
to get into the dark brotherhood, you have to kill an innocent right?
well im finding it very difficult at the moment(imperial city)
victims take a few hits and run to the guards
any suggestions?

*edit* i suppose i could just go and find some isolated home or inn or something

I just block off any path they might use to get to the door while attacking them. So, they basically just keep running into me while I slice 'em up.

I killed a sleeping hobo ..by accident ..instead of hitting "e" I slashed him, he got up and ran like a fool so I finished him off ..the next time I slept I was visited by the dark brotherhood ..and now I'm a full fledged member ..I think I'll remain a member and rise to the top and then kill them all

Stern do all of the dark bortherhood quests. It is one of the coolest quest lines. I have finished both dark bortherhood and theif guild quest lines and they are absolutely amazing.

I didn't want to kill anyone innocent, but to be grand champion I had to kill the gray prince (Who wanted to die at that point). He let me kill him, and I tried to simply run at first, but I had to kill him to be grand champ. The dude visited me after I slept.

If you talk to the grand champ before you kill him it doesn't count as an innocent kill
