I have just had a thaught, is there any gun with a blue laser sight on hl2, because i know rocket launcher does but thats red and its not the shot i was finking, does the cross bow,
the reason i faught this was because on the train tracks when you are running up, (before you get the buggy) theres 2 biacthy snipers in windows, and i was just wondering what gun is this with the laser sight
any opinions

It's probably some kind of Combine sniper rifle, but you can't use it in the game.

There's rumours that this weapon was available in the leaked beta, but like many other weapons it was removed for the final game, and obviously only used for the enemies in this case.

Dont worry youll meet more of these snipers later, also if your good you can use the big pistol as a sniper if you zoom it then quickly shoot after you dezoom.

In earlier versions of HL² you could shoot and zoom at the same time, but they stopped it :|

On topic....you can spawn these combine snipers with npc_create npc_sniper, and basically you'll see the effort valve went to with them, a cardboard cut out of a combine soldier which has a random blue beam coming out from him which follows you around and shoots you with a lovely 'clink' sound of the rifle. They pretty much own any zombie or other enemy in the game with one shot, funny for big battles.
