I keep getting this error: Limited or no Connectivity when i try to renew my IP address. I've just recently got a new cpu and motherboard, after wiping my drive, getting XP pro with SP2 installed, then finally my network card and its drivers installed I now have this problem. I've never got this problem before with my last motherboard so i know its not the card or my router. A friend of mine had this problem to after we installed SP2 on his pc and trying to connect to our network so during a lan party, we fixed it by going into the control pannle>Network Connections> Set up a Home or small Office connection. I had tried doing the same thing and it still did not work. I had googled the problem and tried the fix at this site: http://www.pchell.com/support/limitedconnectivity.shtml. After running the fix and adding the RegFix to the registry, I still get the error and still cannont get an IP address from my router. Can anyone please help me out, this is so very frustrating, i really want to get this all working so i can try some of my games with my new Intel Core 2 Duo! thanks in advanced!

Do you have McAfee firewall? If so, thats the problem, I did everything u said and it turned out the latest update (unavoidable) was to blame, I had to system restore to get it going again.

no, i have nothing installed, just XP, SP2, the mobo drivers, and the network card drivers. Thats it, I always try to get this thing working first after a clean install of XP becuase i always seem to have a new probelm with it when installing it, but some way or another i get it to work then i never have problems with it again untill i have to install it again.

EDIT: Sorry for waseign your time, turns out im just plain stupid and put the WEP key in the wrong place... sry.. sry.. .my bad. ( belive me, i feel really dumb now )
