Lost and HL2

I don't know much about the series Lost, seeing as I've never seen it, but these numbers seem to have something to do with it:
4 8 15 16 23 42
When the newly arrived character in EP2 that we're supposed to know all about but don't (yeah, it's probably part of the story we haven't seen yet) send you down to deal with the 'crow' problem, and where the Vortigaunt admits you into the secondary silo, there's a sort of tank. Look behind that tank through the chicken wire and there's a lone computer. On the monitor, those numbers are there. Anyone have some backgroung info on the numbers? I would like to find out what they mean.

If you listen to the commentary, this was done because people at Valve are fans of Lost and the writers of Lost are fans of Half-Life. There are Half-Life references in Lost, too.

Oh. Yeah, I haven't found the time to listen to the commentaries yet. Except the ones on the last chapter.
