oo, awesome :).

I was wondering if you want to team up for a bit and maybe make some advanced ones for people stormy, from design through to rigging and compiling.

Ohhh my lover! I have had a bit of a sweet idea if you want in ;)

Msg me when your next on msn :D

But yea i dont see why not really. I'm going to get these mofo's out of the way and i need to do some more portfolio work but i'm up for doing some character vtm's as well. Maybe we can make some cash out of it :D

Looks interesting

This looks very good.
I am downloading the videos now. A bit annoying with the download host, but I'll manage :)

The most interesting things in my case will be the setup of the animation and compiling it all for an in game replacement, but maybe I'll learn a few tricks when it comes to lowpoly. I'm usually doing highpoly because the work I do aims for film, but in my sparetime I want to work more with lowpoly stuff.

I'm a bit surprised that you work with so few referenceimages almost assuring some inaccuracy in the model.

Keep doing the videos and good luck with Black Mesa. It looks amazing so far!

btw. I get an error unpacking the "04 Modeling 3.rar" file. could the file be corrupt?

These videos look great so far--I'm try to familiarize myself with Max8, so this is perfect. Also, my texturing skills need a lot of work...

Modeling 3.rar is also corrupt for me though, and I d/l'd 2 or 3 times.

Hi again.
I've watched most of the modeling videos now and if I may I'd like to give you some inputs :)

- The glock is to thin due to lack of reference, but as you say in the video people will probably recognize it as a glock so that's not really a problem.
- You should get used to using snapping. Copy pasting vtx pos is not a good workflow. You could save a lot of time just here.
- Instead of targetWelding all the vertices when you optimize you could just delete almost all of the edges and targetWeld the ones remaining. Would save you a lot of time too.

Just some suggestions for you regarding your workflow. It's all about spending less time doing stuff in the end :)

The texturing vids are no longer available :( Anyone have a mirror?

Wow nice glock is there a way i can get it i would love to use it?

Thanks for the tuts stormy, much appreciated. However, I was hoping there would be info on how to get it into hl2. By this i mean, what attachment points need to be in the model, how they are oriented, pivots, etc. and then on to the QC file. Unless there has already been a tut on this i am missing?

Thanks again

The compiling and animtion tutorials are done i just need to upload them.

sounds good. Is there a tutorial or info page somewhere that documents what attachment points are needed?

These are both 10 very good tutorials & 2) exactly what I need.

Thank you

Final Part, rigging, animation and compiling

<URL Removed: File Broken>

not sure if it filefront, but i get a RAR error: Unexpected end of archive. The compiling.wmv is corrupted. The other videos came through fine though. I'll try downloading again.

thanks dude, good stuff!

I think my wireless disconnected on the upload so the file is borked, dont download it again untill I have put up another link!

Sorry :(

I might have missed it - but are these tutorials for Maya or Max?
