Is there anywhere where I could download a map of the HL/HL2 universe? I don't mean maps that I can play in the game, I mean a map of the regular levels.

Since HL/2 is linear this won't have much practical value; I'd just like to know how everything fits together.

Very nice :P

OK, think of it this way: if Gordon Freeman had a map in his pocket, it would be a 2D representation of the world he lives in. It's that map that I'm after. Kind of like what you'd get in Doom when you pressed the tab key. I don't know if it exists; it might have been released or leaked by Valve, or it could have been put together by fans.

Like I said, it won't have any practical value but it would be very cool to see it.

I have seen it before an overhead map that someone connected the ending points of one map with the beginning points of another. Sadly i have no clue where to find it.

I have a Half-Life 1 map overview and I have TF2 map overviews if you want them also.

It's kinda small though =/

Go all the way on the bottom till you see maps, I made this site in web design class awhile ago

aw gonna say.. thats really cool .. but fairly useless as such low res.

did you make it?
the maps i mean not the website...

There is one made for HL2 which looks just like that, I saw it on these forums a year or so ago, and I cannot find the thread. If you search for it through various means I'm sure you'll find it, it definitely exists. (Showing the route from Train station > Citadel)

Don't act like an idiot.

He asked a valid question. You come out with this random exclamation that could mean anything, and he wants clarification, as do I. Because it didn't make any sense. You shit piglet.

I too want to know what that meant. Was it a a confused "what the hell?" or a bad "what the hell" like "what the hell is this shit?". And I agree with lefty. He was jsut asking a question, there was no need to call him an idiot

The image which is posted on imageshack doesn't exist anymore, and the others... the others sucked.

This was as close as we got on this forum. With map hosting websites around, you could probably make a google-map style high resolution version... if anyone is up to it (a bit of an undertaking, certainly.)

edit: of course, it all comes with the weakness that the maps don't work properly. Half-Life 1 has large sections that would overlap. "Maps" just aren't designed that way.

Also, I believe there was an Episode One overhead done at some point.

I made one but only got as far as the coast and all I did before has since been lost.

There's a code you can use to make it easy. I can't remember it exactly but it contains "mapoverview".

That means you can see entire HL2 map?
