he sought the advice of doctors, and decided to limit the amount of marijuana per user to an ounce per week. Each purchase from the machine yields 1/8th or 2/8th of an ounce.
I could still see this being problematic with people who are not authorized trying to get at it in various ways.
an ounce a week? that's a shitload of pot ..that cant be right ..that's 28 grams

only if you have extremely crappy stuff or are a chain smoker ..there was a report the other day that smoking a single joint gave you as much carciogenics as smoking 20 cigarrettes ...they'd have ...err even more cancer
Still, that is so vague in the article, is the "guard" even authorized to protect it? Or is it just some big guy with a black shirt that says "Security" on the front of it? Their authorization and protection procedures seem a bit unofficial and faux.
Your analogy of soda pop indulgences and weed smoking are hardly related.
This machine could be viewed idealistically, almost as a cash deposit. Instead of cash, you have a very desired product inside. However the product is strictly limited to a specific people with a specific need. So the demand and desire for something so easily accessible could easily become an abused liberty, possibly screwing over the people who sincerely need it.

Haha, bravo BHC!
PS. you realize your location says "drafy", right? D:
I understand that, my point wasn't saying that they are raving addicted lunatics that will stop at nothing to get weed. Actually thats not what I meant at all. The issues that I believe would arrise from this are different.
This is pretty rare, it's not that addicting, nobody said anything about a heroin dispensing machine. Junkies have more 'thrilling' things to sell their spine plasma for.
Did you read my post? You read it wrong, I said the opposite of what you thought.![]()
Wow, I'm REALLY embarrassed now...

Oh internet, what misfortune you bring me :x.

Well, not really, given the fact before the matter that I do smoke, so the vaporizer not only saves me a lot of money (3x as efficient as burning it) and also has almost none of the negative health effects like tar and carcinogens. What a waste.
Well, if the federal government would acknowledge the state's right to make its own laws about drugs, this would be possible. As it is, truly legitimate operations are impossible because of the legal status of such an endeavor.I still think if they are going to do something like this legally, they should do it in a more official and established system of distribution and protection.
I go to a liberal university in a liberal city - my shit's potent too. Smoking 28g a day would be a huge waste but it's definitely possible, even without falling asleep. Just pointless, expensive, and silly.while I'm sure someone could smoke 28 grams you wouldnt want to. in fact you'd probably fall asleep half way through ..at least of the stuff I get which is potent
I'm a member of my school's NORML chapter, I don't think anyone has any illusions...probably not a good idea to confess the fact that you smoke weed on the internetz
