The origins of the Free-masons is what I find really interesting. The original ones were the survivors of the Knights-Templar (order of elite crusading knights based in the middle east with an incredibly vast amount of wealth) when they were all put to death by a French king. The day they were all put to death was friday the 13th and is the reason why for us friday the 13th means bad luck.

seriously, tho, I believe that freemasonry doesnt always related with Satanism, they're just people who opposed the teachings of the church like Galileo. They're those who's ILLUMINATED in teh light of knowledge! OMG!!! :O

Allegations of Satanism against Freemasonry are false. These originated in the 19th century publications of Leo Taxil, sanctioned by the Vatican in an attempt to disillusion the masses from participating in an ever growing brotherhood which was earlier proclaimed as secular. In 1897 Taxil admitted before a crowd of his supporters that his publications where entirely false, but still his allegations live on in the minds of conspiracy theorists and religious activists.

They are really just a club. They may have had some power in the past but today I really don't think it is anymore than an interesting club that people can join.
