Mass Effect video

I'm not a RPG fan but even I am impressed! Looks good. Is it going to be for PC too?

Looks cool, but it strikes me as one of those games that simply give you the illusion of being open-ended instead of being truly nonlinear like in a game like gta.
 
Maybe, maybe not.

KotOR gave you the choice of choosing the order of missions you wanted to take to accomplish a larger goal. I believe something similar will happen here.
 
That was awesome! My childhood dreams of being in Star Trek could be realised in Mass Effect.

I'm sure Mass Effect will arrive on the pc at some stage. This is the first part of a trilogy, and according to Bioware all three parts will appear on the 360.

IF it appears on PC, I'm almost certain Microsoft would insist it be a Vista-exclusive title.
 
Is this game going to be CO-OP? I know it isnt a MP game but im really hoping for CO-OP, havnt been following it at all.

Cool video. All looked pretty good except -

The main guy's face looks pretty dorky in a couple parts (but you can customise your character like in KotoR, so no biggie)
The voices are craaaaaptacular (but they pretty much confirmed they were all getting redone... I think)

Also, graphics could use a bit of tweakage. But it's not out for a while now, and it's all looking pretty cool, so I'm not worried. LOVE that music too :D
 
So no one knows if its CO-OP?

I know it doesnt have mp.
 
Nothing has been mentioned of co-op yet. I think it's pretty unlikely as Mass Effect doesn't look suited to playing with someone else - more sort of game that encourages hours spent tinkering with settings, stats, equipment/armour/weapons, and making decisions based on how you want the game to play. Half the fun will taking your time and doing things your way.
 
Wow, looks like kotor but about a hundred times more epic.
 
Yeh - it's like they've taken what made KOTOR a decent games and added the epic feel of Baldur's Gate, plus a whole load of extra stuff and realtime, squad based combat. It's going to be awesome :)
 
I noticed that the girl's voice is done by the same voice actor as Dizzy from Roughneck Chronicles. Essentially the same part too. :D
 
This and Bioshock and Alan Wake and Gears of War and Assassin's Creed will be the reason I buy a 360. Its only a matter of when...:)

Mine is foam encased, bubble wrapped, and kept in a vacuum.
 
Definitely want that game. Too bad I'll have to wait for the PC release.
