Getting away from all the "Will my computer run this?!" & "OMG look it's Half-life 2's box!" threads, (which I don't mind ) I wanted to ask if you guys truely think they will realease some sort of trailer or anything new? I was kinda thinking that it could only benefit valve right?

After reading that Gamespot thing, it seemed like vALVE is all in it for the community, well gesh, show us something new!

I suppose they might, but I would think it's a bit late if they were planning on some kind of comerical or something. They should have done that a long time ago if they had wanted to.

I don't really care myself as I'd rather see it in game in 4 days rather than in yet another screenshot or trailer.

A commercial is not totally out of the question. Half-Life 2 will continue to sell for months to come. Casual gamers just need to see a kick ass commercial to point them in the right direction.

I have explained Half-Life 2 to at least 20 people now. And i know that at least 6 or 7 of them are gonna buy it now because of my ranting and raving =P.
