I know its an old press issue. Bout the time Half-life 2 was originally going to be relased no?
Sorry I was more interested in parts like
See I found that at the start of the inital relase people were really hyping out the DirectX 9 parts. Now it seems a lot more mild.
I'm sure cause its on the Mircosoft website and its trying to promote DirectX not half-life 2 tis why they're saying what they're saying.
But yeah, would anyone really care if HL was a DirectX 8 game? And are people who only have DirectX 8 cards really going to miss out on a lot?

Ok instead of attacking someone from posting old news. How about you offer sensible advice
DO
1) Tell them its old news (without putting them down)
2) explain about the search feature of the forum
3) point them towards the older posts in question, and or news articles
4) If its their first post, show them the newbie forum so they know they can ask questions in there, aswell as try make a good first impression
5) If they are an old user who should know better. Tell a member of staff and we'll tie their shoelaces together for you.
DON'T
1) call them an idiot just cause they didn't search. It's an easy mistake to make
2) laugh at them
3) make a pointless post just to increase your own count (see 1 & 2)
4) whine and report them when they attack you back for being lame.
