I'm stuck at 82% also. Canceled, restarted steam, went down to 80% then worked up to 82 and got stuck again.

From what I hear it gets to 82% and it starts some process that takes absolutely forever but then when its done it jumps straight to 99%.

Don't cancel it, it sounds like it isn't frozen but it is just taking an extremely long time.

I can confirm this. It just happened to me. Stuck at 82% now its 99%!!!@!@#1

Yup, same here, it jumped directly to 99%
I played like 10 minutes and now I'm downloading Half-Life : Source before continuing my play
