mixed armors?

so far from all footage seen it seems that people wear only armor of one type, including the player.... so I'm wondering if it's not possible to mix armors up any more?

I really hope that it's not the case because in morrowind that was a cool thing being able to do and it also made people look a lot more customized and less like clones.

I'd guess you would be able to, and the stuff we've seen so far was just to make it look more appealing... like, I'm sure the guy in full metal plating looks a lot petter on the cover than a guy with like, a horned helmet, metal shield, and a grass skirt.

Yeah, Que's got it right. I mean, you don't want all your characters in your presentations looking like crap because they don't have matching armor.

Of course you can mix and match armor, nothing was better in morrowind than running around in a plate cuirass without pants

pauldrons are part of the cuirass now, gauntlets comes in pairs....next thing you know boots comes with leggings and we're not allowed normal clothes under our armor or robes over the armor....and you guys said I didn't need to worry about less customized character looks?

Indeed it does, this is all highly dissappointing.
There's two major possible reasons I can think of this being done.
1. To streamline the game for the general gaming public who like highly SIMPLE games, talking about BOTH PC and console gamers.
2. To make more cash by adding it in expansions and/or the official mods that they charge you for.

Sounds pretty lame actually. As someone said in the other thread, a sequel should have everything good from the previous game, then add more to it. Not take away perfectly good things.
